Tentacular ways: art strategies, ecosystems and planetary transformation" Tentacular ways, as part of  a group exhibition in Peiraious, curated by Georgos Georgacopoulos, by The Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and Studio 11 of the Athens School of Fine Arts, @studio11asfa
We live in a time of profound transformation. The notions of the Anthropocene, the Capitalocene, and the Chthulucene remind us that humanity’s presence on Earth is deeply entangled with ecological, social, and political systems. In a world shaped by extraction, exploitative power structures, and material inequalities, we must ask: can we think of our artistic agency in ways that will empower us to imagine and design alternative futures?
Donna Haraway’s concept of the Chthulucene invites us to reflect on our “tentacular connectedness” – the idea that we are woven into multispecies networks of becoming. Can we cultivate such an alternate connectedess? Can we imagine our potential kinship with uncharted systems without imposing false resolutions, or oppressive consensus?
Many thanxs to our academic supervisors Vassilis Vlastaras and Kostis Stafylakis
