"Dinner with a movie camera  duration 1:40", Rethymno, 2025 

"Dinner with a movie camera" was an experimental screening, created in collaboration with Aggelos Batsoukas, Evi Barbounaki, Christos Filippakis, Yiannis Kaleridis and Alexandra Apsokardou.

A group that we participating at "Experimental screening for Cinema11-archives", research & sources in cinema and artistic experimentation, in August 2025, at the annexe of the Athens School of Fine Arts, in Rethymno Crete, organised by the  professor from studio11 of Athens School of Fine Arts,  Vassilis Vlastaras. 

The workshop unfolded as an introduction to the history and theory of cinema, with focus on its origins, political and experimental practices, and the intersections between film and contemporary art.

Through lectures, screenings, discussions, and hands-on exercises, we engaged with early cinema, political film, documentary, queer and eco-feminist perspectives, and the experimental tradition. The workshop was a space of exchange -between research and practice, archives and imagination, history and experimentation.

"Dinner with a movie camera" has reference back to 1929 Soviet movie "Man with a movie camera" directed by Dziga Vertov.
